Just finished reading ISLAND...
OK, so. As an intro, I should inform you that I LOVE Colin Morgan. I think he's an amazing actor and I heard that he's going to be in a movie called Island. Turns out this movie is based on a book. So, I just had to read it. Miraculously, I found it at my library and I dived into it right away. I read it non-stop for the last 5 hours or so. It was pretty intense.
If you haven't seen the trailer you definitely should. I mean, it looks crazy. But the book is crazier. Almost always the book is better than the movie anyway, but still. I found it really interesting. I don't want to spoil it so I won't say anything. But I would definitely recommend reading it. Maybe it's just me, but I like to read the book before I see the movie. But if you're like me, READ IT.
OK. Honestly, I have to share some little snippets though because if I don't, I'll go mad. You don't have to read them. It's just for my personal sanity that I must share. They're not huge spoilers. They're just little things that I found quite interesting. Like, it shouldn't spoil any of the movie/book for you. Enough rambling.
Seriously though, these aren't major things.
But, for one, there's a mention of Druids. In a story told by Colin Morgan's character. I just thought that was too weird.
But THEN...there's another story told where the main character's name is Freya. I'm sorry, but I just about screamed. I mean, can that really be just a coincidence? I don't know. Sorry if these seemed disappointing, but I was just shocked when I read these. I mean, for Merlin to be brought into this...I don't know, I just freaked out.
Once again, sorry if you weren't 'wowed' or anything. But I have no one else to tell these ramblings to.
