you won't like him when he's angry... (open)

Not that he is. At all. Curufin's expressions are perfectly smooth, controlled, even his smiles apparently genuine. Oh, sure, under that he may well be feeling an extremely murderous impulse, but he keeps it very well hidden. He is free, and wishes it to remain that way. Until he can get his brothers back under control, or at least neutralize ( Read more... )

If Curufin wants to see that peculiar woman, she's lounging lazily on a windowsill and looking outside. We can probably safely assume that she's seen a lot of Henry and less of Clay... and she misses Clay a lot.

She should go out in the woods and look for him, she muses. She feels guilty, though - about her feelings for Clay, about how they betray Henry, about how she might be causing pain to both Clay and Henry. In the midst of that, she feels guilty for having fed the ardeur on that creepy elf. Even if she scrubbed herself clean ten times when it was done.

Curufin does want to see that peculiar woman. And looks rather offended. His sense of personal hygiene is better than some of his siblings, thank you very much, and he can't be that bad to look at. But meta proud Curufin aside, the real one is leaning against the wall down the hall from her, watching her with slitted eyes.

Free, yes. And without the bruise on his cheekbone, or really any marks, this time, and having gotten some clean and properly regal clothes. Just watching, for the moment.

(Personally, creepy is pretty close to the mark. He seems thoughtful, though.)

She's entirely lost in thought, alas, and will have to be approached, if he wants her attention.

Or maybe she's just pretending. She does have a good nose, after all.

He doesn't quite move toward her, but he does raise an eyebrow ever so slightly. "Either you are less observant than I thought or you are ignoring me." Absolutely smooth, of course. He's not annoyed yet.

Or at her, anyway.

"I could also be busy," she replies, before she turns to look at him. "I see that your little door problem has been solved. How'd that go?"

"Quite well, thank you. I appreciate your help." Without any hint of 'yeah, got into another fight with a brother, twisted his (broken) arm, threw him into a desk, and broke out, only to lose a verbal match as well.' We don't need to talk about that. His eyes glint a little. "Are you busy?"

Busy is not an option, his eyes seem to say. You are not allowed to be busy right now. You are going to talk to me.

"Do I look busy?" She's utterly nonchalant - which is easy for her, really, at this point.

She'll humor him, though, if only to keep tabs on him. Nuh huh. Never mind how good looking he is or the fact that the ardeur remembers the tast of his lust - just as she remembers the touch of his skin.

And of course he's not thinking about anything of what he remembers of their frenzied coupling, or about the way she looks naked and how it makes his skin itch, or any of that. Purely business. Of course. "One can apparently never be certain. I would hate to interrupt. Care to walk with me?"

She looks at him, just once, seems to decide that her brooding isn't going anywhere anyway. "Sure. Where do you want to go?"

She just turns a little in her seat to face him, but doesn't stand up just yet. No fear, though - she's too cocky for that.

"Nowhere in particular. Or at least, I haven't a destination in mind. Have you?" Not taking his eyes off her for a moment, and noting her confidence. It's surprising, still, but she still knows little. It's understandable. For the moment, he will not take it as insolence. For the moment. "There are plenty of places to walk."

"Guess there are." She eyes him. "Since you made the invitation, up to you. Guess I can pick up the brooding where I left it off later."

"Outside, I think." He doesn't pause, indicating, most likely, that he already knew where they were going. "Will you need some sort of jacket?" Considerate? Perhaps. At least appearing to be. Sometimes appearances are very important.

"Sure. I'll just go pick it up on the way." She glances at him. Being hit on by an elf. A Feanorian. In full princely regalia.

WTF.

He would object that his is not 'hitting on' her that is crude. However, we agree with Anita. It is pretty wtf worthy. Though he thinks the clothes are very pretty, thank you. Weakness for pretty things, we do has it.

A very slight inclination of his head. "Of course. At your pleasure."

And she's wearing jeans and has a ponytail, and she does not sparkle in any possible way. And she's half his size. In short, again, WTF.

"Just wait here. I'll be back in a jiffy." She stands and goes, fully expected to be obeyed.

His eyebrows rise precipitously. And with a touch of slightly piqued annoyance. He sweeps a slightly mocking bow. "As you wish, of course," with just a touch of scathing, but he will wait, watching her go, and counting how long it takes her to get back. Suspicious? Never. Not at all.
