i! hate! everything about you!

Curufin is not happy. In fact, one might go so far as to say that Curufin is very, very angry. He doesn't show it, of course, other than perhaps a certain preoccupation with his one remaining blade - the unfavored bow is stored in his room, safely (he hopes, ohh if she dares, if she dares set foot in his territory or near him again she will pay for ( Read more... )

We're going to apologize for this in advance. Here is a young lady who is ridiculously puny compared to any elf, and who is walking in from the woods with a generous pick up of hares at her belt.

Even if there is a plothole, Anita has taken the habit of setting snares and is having a hard time giving up the hunting habit.

She'll give Curufin a wary glance as she makes her way up the steps.

He stands as she passes, eyes following her all the way from the forest. Before she enters the Mansion, he flicks his eyes to the rabbits, seeming almost amused. "You caught those?"

His tone is almost excessively surprised. You, female? You, human? Who knows. Curufin has a few prejudices, what?

She looks him up and down, as if to say, yeah, and?

"No, I bought them at the supermarket over there," she replies, pointing at the forest.

Anita, of course, doesn't look very impressed, but unless you're Lucivar, it's hardly surprising.

His eyebrows arch, slightly, but he's still more amused than annoyed, as of yet. He doesn't recognize the word, but he gets the gist of it, and so far his expression is still mostly pleasant - as much as it ever is, anyway. "How...surprising," with a tone that manages to communicate rather that of someone who has just seen a child perform some not too impressive trick.

"Smooth talking, Slick," she replies, after giving him a once over. "I bet you can't get half the game I can in the same amount of time."

She means that too, and she's not above shifting to achieve her goal, which, she's decided, is to teach this contemptuous arse a lesson in respect.

He narrows his eyes, slightly, with the beginnings of a touch of pique, but laughs, nonetheless. "I am not the hunter of my family. It has never been much entertainment to me, and truly I do not understand the enjoyment some seem to find in it."

She shrugs, with all the nonchalance in the world. Look how much she cares, Curufin.

"Sucks to be you, I guess. Good luck with the eating." And she starts back on her way inside. She apparently has decided that he's not worth her time.

Now he looks annoyed. Which on him is moderately menacing. "--fine. I suppose I haven't anything better to waste my time with." A competition, then. He'll win this, easily, of course. No competition.

Confident, what?

"Admit instead that you wouldn't have it known that you turned down a human woman's challenge," she replies, tartly.

"Your arrogance astounds me." He does stand, drawing himself up to full height and not sheathing the knife. "Frankly, your so called 'challenge' means little to me; call it boredom, or curiosity, rather. Women hunting is something I would count passing strange." He tilts his head, slightly, smile chilly. "If you would allow me to fetch my bow?"

She looks him up and down, as if counting how many times he would need to be folded to be her size.

"Feel free, though that's kind of cheating. I'll be hunting with my bare hands."

She grins, a little, wolfishly.

The air of disdain and dislike only increases. "That is your choice. I wouldn't discard the use of a tool, having one." His jaw sets, slightly, moderately annoyed. "You are free to do the same."

She returns both disdain and dislike, without feeling shame or apologizing.

"Oh, I certainly will," she replies, chuckling.

"Then I will trust with your regard for fairness you will remain here for the moment," he says, not quite acidly, focusing steel-eyes on her, expecting at least some intimidation. He's so practiced at this with people who know him and his reputation, it's rather alarming to be here.

"I'm sure you'll have plenty of time to learn all about that, little man," she replies, tartly.

Anitas is still not impressed, still not afraid, and very keen on teaching this arrogant arse a lesson, now.

His nostrils flare and then his face is still. "Thank you for your gracious generosity, lady," he says, so neutrally it's definitely mocking or at the least pointing out that she is not being polite, excuse you, to her betters. :|

He turns his back on her without a second thought, spine ramrod-straight with offended pride.
