I am so BAAAAAWWW right now *sniffles*
I'm glad I warned my roommate beforehand that I might start crying; she actually brought the box of tissues over for me near the end because I was so BAAAAWW from the point where they flashed back to the explanation of the Zero Requiem to Kallen's ending monologue. (Especially with Nunnally. THAT WAS SO SAD.)
BAAAAAAAWW T_T I only cry during anime when I am extremely touched, mind you.
I have to say though, the ending was fantastic. I didn't think it was going to be very good at all, and it was AMAZING. The music playing ... and especially the very last scene. In a way it's closed, and in a way it's open ended. There's a whole lot of discussion about whether or not Lelouch is actually dead, with some convincing arguments for his being still alive. Which is nice, because you can have it either way. And either way, he's sort of with C.C. (even if dead, she can communicate with him), so that kind of made the shipper in me happy too (not to mention Kallen and Gino were standing next to each other in Ougi and Villetta's wedding photo ... hehe).
It made me really sad, really happy; really satisfied. I can't believe it's really over. Two years of my life of being pretty much obsessed ... this is is the longest anime I have followed every week (not to mention the anime I have bought the most merchandise from), and in the end, I still love it intensely. Even though there were times I doubted the writers could off a good end, it came out like this, and I am happy.
And now I feel all empty from crying and need to do my homework ...
