I love it so much. It was silly and surreal (at one point, the boy gets stuck up a tree and start swings for branch to branch like a monkey. What?!) and the dialogue with quite wooden (though not as awful as the latest Star Wars films. Damn you, George Lucas) but it was excellence. Stuff blew up and there was a hidden city with a space ship in it and a scary Russian women running around with a sword. People got eaten by huge, insane ants and there was a nuclear explosion within the first 10 minutes. It was fantastic.
Also, going with my friend Amy is excellent. She gasped at every single thing and when John Hurt's character was on the foor, she yelled 'Get up you stupid old man!' Brilliant. I love her.
I'm going to an anime convention with my friend Xanthe tomorrow. She's forced me into dressing as Soubi Agatsuma, but I'm actually quite looking forward to it. X warned me there'll be lots of screaming fangirls and everyone will be dressed like L from Death Note so only fun can follow, right?
