Rosalba, you are so strong.

I tried everything to soothe you. Encouragement, guided meditation, ocean sounds. For a time I was even a human scratching post. The pain was a non-issue... it was a gain of sand against a mountain, yet the mountain still wanted to speak.

My heart broke when you were crying to your daughter to be born over and over. I was stunned and had no answer.

A scarf being pulled between us helped immensely.

Rosalba never gave up, even when the window of hope was closing on the delivery she wanted. Olivia's head was a crunched twisted waffle cone half way out of her. With the final possible push, Rosabla Gave birth to a cheering crowd of family and professionals... Like a personal Super Bowl.

I took my mother home and we planted an olive tree... an everlasting birthday present.

A nightmare night in the hospital. Rookies. No sleep.

My mom cleaned up everything. All we needed to do was come home.

Olivia slept for 2 hours on my chest while I watched Hot Tub Time Machine. She will have my heart for the rest of my life.
