ringworm - "justice replaced by revenge": uhm, amazing. duh.
requiem - "storm heaven": fucking incredible music from ex memebers of catharsis.
the spectacle - "i, fail": euro dudes playing awesome spazzy, political metal.
as i lay dying - "shadows are security": you already know.
through the eyes of the dead - "bloodlust": not to take anything away from the music (which is awesome), but the artwork RULES.
renee heartfelt - "magdalene": if you don't like this, i hope gerbils eat your head.
conducting from the grave - "trials of the forsaken": awesome AWESOME metal from sacramento. 3 of the current members of with passion.
so, with passion stayed with us for the last 2 nights, and we had an awesome time. erica and i missed the show in hagerstown with soilent green due to the fact that the time/traffic combo would have made our trip there take like 3 hours. no way we would have made it on time.
last night was the show at jaxx with soilent green, decapitated, hypocrisy, and fucking NILE. got there in time to hear with passion's last two songs. while we were standing outside in line. RAD. stuck around for a little bit of decapitated's set. i would have liked to see soilent green and nile, but i can only take so much of metal shows. i really think they should be like two bands at most. oh well.
soilent green had amazing shirts, but of course i had no cash. one of them had a rad design on the front with the band name that said "hurricane katrina catastrophe response team" up top, and "new orleans anti-terrorism defense" on the bottom. the back had a fleur de lis with two rifles next to it that said "defend our city", and on the bottom of the back it said "you loot we shoot". incredible. that band is amazing, i wish we would have seen them, but oh well.
i love when those dudes come through, they're such nice guys. we got to finally meet the 3 new guys, super fun. we're gonna try to get out to sacramento sometime to hang out/see them play in their hometown. they were kinda bummed out about always getting booked on metal tours, as opposed to more "metalcore" shows. the long-hairs like to heckle them. that and they don't really listen to too much straight up metal. and the last two tours have been with nile and deicide. jeeeeeeeeeeeeesus.
missed the titan show tonight because there was no way i could get there in time, which sucks. i really wanted to be able to get out to it and support my homie. soon enough though. hmmm... i need to book titan and with passion. yes.
out.
