-Because I love looking cute, modest, and feminie. I also love the historical influences involved with the fashion.

-This is hard since I love a majority of the styles, but probably I like sweet & Gothic the most (but definitely a lighter Gothic).

-I'm not sure what this one means, but I'd actually love to wear cute punk Lolita some day. I really like tasteful punk, but I think I'd feel like a hypocrite wearing it since I'm not "angry at the world," and dress pretty cutesy happy all the time so it would be a big side step for me that I think I'd really enjoy.

Ears pierced once, but I think I'd like to get them pierced more (still debating this issue).

Either the poofy skirt shape (so much fun to run around in), or the shoes (they look so cool!!).

How expensive it is, that it's not easier to wash, and that it's not as easily accessible to Western Lolitas (slowly progressing though).

Well, I don't have a tie headdress but I'd probably think I'd need to tie mine in the front because my hair is super silky and so things don't stay put very well.

I love ALI Project as my favorite japanese band, but otherwise I also really love Sigur Ros which is an Icelandic group. I listen to a majority of trance/dance/electronica, jpop, new age, and world.

Yes and No, the last time I didn't go because I was with a friend and I didn't want it to be awkward for her, but I totally wished I'd worn Lolita afterwards because it was the Final Fantasy symphony and so it definitely would have fit with the crowd. (so in the future I hope I will just go for it)

This is less embarrassing than sad, but when I first started becoming interested in Lolita I did a lot of research. I knew my stuff when I went to Japan, however I did not know where stores were so I walked down Takeshitadori hoping I'd run across one. I did...sort of. I discovered Bodyline, and thought I'd found heaven when I walked into the store and saw their selection of Lolita. I was a little put off by some of the other things they carried in store (although I did end up getting a cat maid costume for fun), but I nonetheless picked out a dress. It actually was not the most Ita thing ever. Infact if it was altered slighly it wouldn't be too bad. It doesn't have the right shape to hold a good petticoat which I'm finding is one of the main problems, but the "underdress" part of it looks not quiet so Loli and would probably be better to replace. I was super excited about it and for only $35 it wasn't such a bad first trial. As soon as I found the EGL lj I was saved since from there I was able to discover the sales comm and buy some pieces of brand Lolita that I knew would be what I was intending to wear. My mom is rather fond of the outfit since she just thinks of it as a reminder of the trip and doesn't see anything wrong, but it's hard for me to wear it since it still gives a bit more of a costumey feel than real Lolita.

Really long straight blonde hair with straight across bangs and front layering pieces starting from the bangs and ending at about shoulder lenght.

1 inch. Gives you a little height, but still convenient enough to not worry about your feet hurting a lot. (Although generally platforms of any height end up being okay)

Yes and no. I wear them in ballets, but not real life. I would like however to acquire one to wear at some point (possibly soon).

Yes! I would like to do a white rabbit it kondona look. So vest with long white blouse, pocket watch (necklace?), bunny rabbit ears hood, princey looking long shorts, knee socks, and rocking horses or creepers.

Maybe a few months-a year. I can't recall when I first came across it, but it was at least 6 months later before I brought something, and then really a year before I wore anything out (since I was trying to find out where to get the other pieces of my outfit from).

My friends have known me long enough to accept any strangeness I have. My family likes it for the most part, and I am well accepted particularly on my mom's side of the family since both of my Aunts and my Cousins like wearing historical clothing, or dressing up in costumes.

I knew my stuff when I went to Japan, however I did not know where stores were so I walked down Takeshitadori hoping I'd run across one. I did...sort of. I discovered Bodyline, and thought I'd found heaven when I walked into the store and saw their selection of Lolita. I was a little put off by some of the other things they carried in store (although I did end up getting a cat maid costume for fun), but I nonetheless picked out a dress. It actually was not the most Ita thing ever. Infact if it was altered slighly it wouldn't be too bad. It doesn't have the right shape to hold a good petticoat which I'm finding is one of the main problems, but the "underdress" part of it looks not quiet so Loli and would probably be better to replace. I was super excited about it and for only $35 it wasn't such a bad first trial. As soon as I found the EGL lj I was saved since from there I was able to discover the sales comm and buy some pieces of brand Lolita that I knew would be what I was intending to wear. My mom is rather fond of the outfit since she just thinks of it as a reminder of the trip and doesn't see anything wrong, but it's hard for me to wear it since it still gives a bit more of a costumey feel than real Lolita.
