The Story Thus Far
Well, let me just say, Ranger School sucks. While difficult, it's not THAT hard, it's just stupid. The challenging part is putting up with all the bullshit they put us through. Over the course of about 30 days I lost between 15-20 pounds. Let me tell you my grocery bill reflects the fact I've been trying to put that weight back on. Unfortunately I recycled mountain phase. This means I have to sit in the mountains of Georgia doing nothing but sleeping and eating for 20 days until the next class gets to me. Bottomline, I'm going to be bored out of my skull for 20 days and may actually go insane and kill a few people.
I flew out of Columbus and into Portland. Joe and I hung out for a few days. Nothing terribly eventful to report, just kickin it with Joe and drinking a bunch of beer. Yesturday Joe and I drove into Boise, the 6 hour trip took 10 hours because the roads were so bad...lame. I feel bad for Joe who has to turn around and do the same drive in a few days, this time by himself.
On the horrizon is lunch with Lynelle, Xmas, and Dave's Wedding. Following that I'm going back to Columbus, spending a few relaxing days alone in Columbus before going back to Ranger School.
