Thank you for your review - and also for sneaking in great fic recs. ;-)

sneaking in great fic recs. ;-)

I've finished rereading "My Life" several days ago. I adore Anaross' stuff. I remember people accusing her of Angel bashing in some of her stories and her reply "I love Angel but somehow he ends up a bad guy in my stories". After Twilight arc I wonder if Anaross is more attuned to Joss vision than many of us.

Tell me about it. :)
Right now I follow MarkWatches and I'm green with envy. The guy has just started watching BtVS. He's 100% unspoiled (he asked "Is Angel another slayer?" in his first review). He watches 5 NEW Buffy episodes a week. It's not fair!! :)

I've been watching my 14-year-old son drink it all in. Fortunately, he absolutely loves BtVS, which makes me so happy! His favorite character is probably Xander, I think because any awkward young man can see a bit of himself in that character, and he's especially fond of "The Zeppo."

Agree with your review. Including this, alas: "The scene is so shippy that I am really, really afraid for the future of favorite blonds. Joss never gives shippers anything unless he plans to take away much more than he has given."

Everyone (in the comic) is so pissed off at Buffy. I'm still trying to figure out what alternative she had to destroying the Seed.

My son was 13 in 2000 when BtVS premiered in Russia. He loved it, too. I often watched new episodes together with my children. Good times... :)

I have the impression that only Willow is really unhappy about the Seed. Severin doesn't count - he's a bad guy, he wanted to be a vampire. Simone always hated Buffy.

I'm torn about human Spike. On one hand, I don't want him to lose his cool, and I don't want him to replace Xander as Buffy's closest male friend.

OTON, if Spike turns human, there could be (hopefully) more interaction between him and Xander, him and Dawn. Such prospects warm my heart. Although I realise that in that case Joss has to have something really nasty up his sleeve to keep Buffy and Spike apart.

It's more than certain that something happened to both Buffy and especially Spike. Severin comments "that sparks differently" and there is a reason why they placed the comment there. It's a comic book, only a few panels and words, so that is there for a reason. Whenever Severin siphons vampires, he sparks mostly green. In Buffy's case it was mostly yellow. At those 3 panels that he was siphoning both of them his power was sparking yellow mostly. And when he is almost ready to kill Spike, he sparks totally yellow instead of also green. Then the detective shoots him, he lets go of Buffy and Spike, and he starts sparking green again trying to heal himself.

So unless they have made a huge mistake in coloring, it has to mean something. And since he also commented that it sparks differently on Buffy, that means that something was done to Spike because his power on Spike sparked yellow only instead of yellow and green like on all those other vampires.

Wow, great idea. I haven't thought about it - I dismissed "sparks differently" as Buffy's slayer demon being different than vampiric demons.

Thanks for food for thought.

Or it means nothing and nothing was done to either of them and it just "sparks differently" because they both have a soul :P

I posted a question and mentioned that I post on the behalf of a fan who can't post there, without naming names.

I can't figure out navigaton on Buffytube. Sometimes I log in, start clicking different links and realise that I'm pathetic. Veiri encouraged me to post there, but all her attempts were in vain :(

I know that there must be interesting discussions - I love reading Veiri's theories, your ideas, Double Dutchesse's musings. I remember her posts on IWD forums - I loved them!

Maybe I'll make another attempt at BuffyTube.

Thank you for these reviews. I feel like I'm getting the parts of the comics that I am interested in. :)
