Yes, I went to the pairs and men's SP last night. We got home pretty late, and then I overslept, and now we're off to eat something before our very long day of skating. So I have many pages of handwritten notes that I have no time to transcribe. And I will have more tonight! It will be a vicious cycle of many many many notes which someday I will share with the internet.
Meanwhile, of course Yuletide signups open right bang in the middle of Skate America, because fandom is all about me. There is irritation with modly practices as usual, and I am one of the irritated parties. But Yuletide has been irritating me for years - not enough to keep me from signing up, but enough that I'm one of the masses who makes requests and gets a story in on time, and I don't invest myself emotionally beyond that, and it works out better for everyone. I'll be putting in my signup in a few days when the servers calm down, and I'll be putting up my "Dear Yuletide Goat" letter when assignments go out so that it will appear above my four tl;dr posts of Skate America recaps.
