i loved this -- the thread of george mason's march through the tournament matching up with danny and casey's relationship, the way basketball is a metaphor for life. just lovely. thank you.

(and i'm glad you had fun researching. i'm thrilled by all the stories that have come out of this. :D)

Thank you so much for the feedback, and thanks again for running this. It's great to see so much new SN fic for the first time since, like, 2001.

"And this is what I always swore I would do if it looked like the world was about to end."

Oh Casey. I loved this!

I love this fic especially the comparison between George Mason and Danny and Casey fumbling their way towards something.

"I hear they're hosting a small shindig in my apartment," he says, like he's rehearsed the line. Oh Casey, you try to be smooth but you just aren't.

Casey so fails at being smooth.

Thanks so much; glad you enjoyed!

This was great! I love a good Sports Night fic so I was excited to see this from you. I want to read the copy on the hot ice dancers.

Thanks so much! I seem to accidentally write SN fic about once a year -- it's one of those fandoms. According to annavtree, this takes place in the magical AU where sports news shows actually cover figure skating.

In conclusion, I'm so glad you enjoyed this, thank you!

This is absolutely wonderful. I love how well the sports story (and thanks to my friends list, this is something I had *heard* of, unlike most basketball stories *g*), works in parallel to Dan and Casey's relationship. And the end is perfect--hopeful and sweet while still being grounded in reality.

Heh, I did pick this prompt because I was SO MAD when GMU beat my Huskies in the Elite Eight. Thanks so much!
