I like it--all of it. I think you have some great characer insights. Inara's comment about Zoe's shoes made me laugh. Plus, small lines really sounded like the characters, for example Book suggesting to Mal he go some place less public.

LOL! Such wonderful dialogue. True wit.

"It ain't," he said under his breath. Louder, to cover it, he drew a card and raised the pot. They were wagering chores and privileges. A slip of paper with "dishes" scrawled on it was the most precious legal tender on Serenity. Worthless anyplace else, though. Things were what folks put into them. Di yu de, he was a man who loved a spaceship.

Such wonderful insights.

Wonderful remix of the themes of OiS -- right down to River's feet. I wasn't quite sure about Zoe dolling herself up, but Mal's thoughts about it helped it make more sense, and also provide a nice contrast between Mal and Zoe.

And Kaylee? Too adorable. Yay!
