Quotes and other things

I'm surrounding myself in David Cook goodness at the moment instead of going to class (read: "sitting in a secluded corner of the library and lip syncing/rocking out to 'Sharp Dressed Man' over and over again"). Life is good. *points to icon* Also, I found this quote by David Cook about his win and his final "coronation" performance: "I've been holding my breath for four months. Tonight was just about exhaling."

Seriously, could I love this guy any more than I do? He has SUCH a way with words.

Okay, in non-David Cook news...

TWO MORE WEEKS OF SCHOOL! Oh my goodness. Three or four weeks ago when everyone else was getting out of school (stupid UCSD on the quarter system), I was soooo antsy and it felt so far away. But now... yeah, two more weeks of college and then finals week. I can't believe I'm almost done with college. It's insane.

I read this sentence in a novella I read for class today and I really liked it. Something about it is really poetic; there's a nice rhythm and meter to the last half of the sentence. It's from Behind the Mask: A Woman's Power by Louisa May Alcott.

"He soon tired of the others, wanted something new; recalled the piquant character of the girl and took a fancy into his head that she would lighten his ennui."

*literature nerd*

I think there was a third thing I was going to say. Oh yeah... moving out is going to be a little crazy. I have two years' worth of accumulated STUFF that I have to try to sort and organize after finals so that when my parents and brother get here on my graduation day, we can throw stuff in boxes quickly and load up the car in a very short amount of time. I am excited for my family to see my apartment (they haven't visited in the last two years), even though it'll be very deconstructed. Both of my roommates are moving out before me, so I'll be alone in the apartment with no couches, no TV, and no dining table for a week. It'll be an interesting week, though it will make moving out easier, since I don't have to work around them or worry about what stuff is theirs and what stuff is mine.

Okay, back to watching and listening to my Cookie!
