Sorry I'm a bit spammy today, but here are my answers to the top 5 meme. Thank for your comments, guys!
Top 5 songs
Okay, this is REALLY hard, so I'm going to do the top 5 songs that I have in my iTunes library. I admit that there are most likely songs I like better that I don't have in my library.
1. Always Be My Baby - David Cook - I think this might always be my favorite David Cook song. Everything about it is perfect and amazing. I'll never, ever get sick of it.
2. Hide and Seek - Imogen Heap - If you haven't heard this song, you are missing out. It's intense, original, and beautiful.
3. I Can Read Your Mind - The Doobie Brothers - This song just makes me happy. I love listening to it, singing it, and playing it loudly in the car with the windows rolled down.
4. Killing Me Softly - Roberta Flack - I just adore this song. It's beautiful, and I love me some Roberta Flack.
5. Porcelain - David Cook - I tried not to put two David Cook songs, but I can't help it! This song is amazing. The lyrics are intense and beautifully metaphoric. I've said it before, and I'll say it again - David Cook is a kick ass lyricist. The melody in the chorus is awesome, and I can't help but listen to this song multiple times in a row when it comes on.
Top 5 Supernatural episodes
1. Nightshifter - I love the "bank heist" idea that it's founded on, it's very well written and directed, and Ronald was a wonderful character (I actually cried when he died the first time I saw it). Also, "Renegade" is still my favorite music cue on any show ever.
2. Devil's Trap - John being possessed by YED was the most brilliant thing this show has ever done. And I still can't listen to "Bad Moon Rising" without shaking. Dead serious.
3. Born Under a Bad Sign - Jared stepped his acting up like crazy and did an amazing job as Meg!Sam. It was amazingly done.
4. Mystery Spot - Again, Jared's performance was amazing, and I just loved the story. The Trickster is one of my favorite baddies. I could go on for ages about Sam's character in this episode and the way he changed over the course of it, but I'll spare you. Just know that I love, love, love it.
5. All Hell Breaks Loose, Parts 1 and 2 - This might be cheating, but I think of these as one episode. I loved the fulfillment of the season 2 story line, and everything in both of these episodes was brilliant. One of my favorite all-time scenes for this series is Bobby's reaction to Dean's deal. ♥
Top 5 books I want to read, but haven't yet (This is a fantastic question, by the way.)
1. Everything written by C.S. Lewis - Lewis is my favorite author, and one of my goals in life is to read everything he's written. I think the next thing I'd like to read of his is The Screwtape Letters.
2. An Abundance of Katherines by John Green - I read John Green's first novel, Looking for Alaska, and it was amazing. Katherines is his second novel and I really, really want to read it. He's a fantastic writer.
3. His Dark Materials Trilogy by Philip Pullman - Yes, I'm one of the people who hadn't really heard about these books until the movie came out and there was controversy. But I do want to read them now that I know of their existence. And I want to read the books before seeing the movie.
4. Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen - I'm in the middle of Pride and Prejudice, and I love it. I really want to read more Jane Austen, and I think S&S will be the next one I get.
5. Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte - I don't know why exactly, but I've wanted to read this for a long time, and I'm not even sure what it's about. I've never seen any movie adaptations or anything, but I want to read it!
Top 5 animals
1. Cats - Not just housecats, but all felines: tigers, lions, jaguars, pumas, all of them. They are beautiful creatures and I love the way they move and act.
2. Giraffes - I spent a good deal of time watching the giraffes at the Wild Animal Park yesterday and realized how amazing and beautiful they are.
3. Dogs - I love having a dog as a pet. I want another one, since I haven't had a dog in years.
4. Kiwis - Cutest birds in the world. I've gotten to see some in person when I was in New Zealand and they are sooooo adorable!
5. Pandas - They are adorable and they make me happy. Also,
worri wants me to feed them carrots and sugar cubes.
