giventofly37 I made this one for
disney100, an icon challenge comm. The theme of this one was "Blue" and I just liked the way it turned out. It's a very good icon to use when I'm sad.
Oh Bender. "Futurama" is by far my favorite animated show, and I just could not pass this icon up when I found it. So wonderfully flail-y and just plain Bender.
Made this for last year's NaNoWriMo and brought it back when I wanting more writing icons. I tend to only use this on when I'm posting fic.
Hahahaha! One of my favorites, even though I don't use it too much. It's a quote from "Mystery Science Theater 3000," an amazing show that is sadly no longer with us. The line itself is hysterical in context, and it's so, so true for me. I talk to myself ALL. THE. TIME. And yes, I'm sarcastic with myself.
Captain Mal from "Firefly." Perfect for use when I'm exasperated with the world. I tend to think of this as an alternative to a good *facepalm* icon.
I had a feeling someone would ask about this one.
severity_softly is a little bit obsessed with Jon Heder. She and I were talking on AIM a while back, and I decided to make her some Jon Heder icons. This picture came up in a Google image search. She and I discussed what he could possibly be thinking at that moment, and came to the conclusion that he was thinking, "ZOMG POTATO!" So I made the icon. It makes me smile and tends to be used when I have no idea which icon to use.
Gob (Will Arnett) is my favorite character in "Arrested Development," another show that I love, but that is no longer on the air. He's a failed magician, but he thinks he's amazing. This is from one of his tricks, where he has someone pick a card, he purposefully guesses wrong, and then rips open his shirt to reveal his real guess (queen of diamonds in this case)... which is still wrong. Of course, the joke loses appeal when I tell it like that, but it's pretty priceless.
spybarbie My friends and I were in Las Vegas last summer and saw this store (yes, that's the name of the store). We tend to use the phrase " *cream* " when something strikes our fancy, as if it's given us an orgasm. So when we saw the sign that had the designs on either side that resembled action stars, we had to take pictures and iconize it.
Another Las Vegas reference. This is Lance Burton, a magician. His posters and advertisements for his show were EVERYWHERE! He's such a whore, pimping himself out like that. We made fun of him and screamed "WHORE!" all weekend every time we saw an advertisement of his.
A quote from "The Office." Andy, the character who said it, is underrated in my opinion. I think he's awesome. This icon works very well when I royally screw something up.
The '67 Chevy Impala that takes Sam and Dean Winchester all across America to fight evil. Every "Supernatural" fangirl must have at least one Impala icon in her arsenal.
Neville Longbottom and Luna Lovegood from the Harry Potter series are totally meant to be together. <3
Good Lord, Matthew Lewis is attractive. He plays Neville Longbottom in the Harry Potter movies, and he is just superb. In the last couple of years he became really good looking, and suddenly the whole world is fawning over him. *happy dance*
My friend
hiddenfantasy made this one. I love her icons - she's really, really good at coloring. This icon just makes me happy for no apparent reason.
arabella_hope See above.
This was a random character from "The Venture Brothers." He was an alien robot sent to observe humans, but he kept telling them to ignore his presence and do everything normally. Whenever they would interact with them, he would yell, "IGNORE ME!" ... It's better if you
see it. It also became a running joke in my family.
slytherin_face is known to a small group of us as just "Face."
hiddenfantasy made icons for our group of friends like this. Linda = me.
As I said to the Matthew Lewis icon that
spybarbie requested... good Lord, he's attractive. The "N" is for Neville. *stares for a sec* What? Meme? Right.
"Scarecrow," the "Supernatural" episode this quote came from, is one of my favorites. I love this line of Dean's, too. I use this icon when something someone posts touches me deep within-a my soul.
See above.
It's Beaker!! I love the Muppets, and just about anything Jim Henson creates (except Labyrinth - that movie still creeps me out). I tend to use this icon when I'm not sure which one to use. I love the cropping of it - it's just awesome in every way!
morbidmuse A quote from "The Office," said by Jim about actually missing Dwight (one of the most annoying co-workers on the planet). I don't use this icon much, but it's good when I feel beaten up and stomped on my the world (which, thankfully, isn't too often).
See above.
I loved this scene in "Supernatural." I really like seeing the boys' backstory, and this was so, so sweet. I made this icon, and even though it's not that great, I still love it and can't seem to delete it in icon purges.
Neville/Ginny was my first non-canon OTP. (Ron/Hermione was my very first OTP, but N/G came right after it.) Though I currently ship Neville and Luna, Neville/Ginny holds a special place in my heart, and I love reading and writing them. Also, the Yule Ball is my favorite scene in the Harry Potter movies, so combined with Neville/Ginny? How can I resist?
Bela Lugosi was a brilliant actor. Even in a horrid movie like Ed Wood's "Bride of the Monster" he had a certain dignity and gravitas about him that I am fascinated by. This, of course, is him as Dracula, and I will probably only keep this icon around until Halloween. I like seasonal icons, but I don't usually like the typical, "cheesier" ones like jack-o-lanterns and kids in ghost costumes. Give me Bela any day.
Ah yes... I'm not quite sure why I still have this one. One of my teammates for
spnfencentral's scavenger hunt (which my team won!) made this for us to use. Our team name was "Ellen's Regular's."
Oh, Blues Brothers! How I love thee! I love this song, too, and there's not nearly enough love for this duo. I used the word "love" a lot. Anyway, I like to use this icon for anything and everything ship-wise. It's great because it can apply to any ship, even my own (non-existent) love life. It also just makes me smile a little bit.
Phew! Your turn!!
P.S. I'm surprised no one asked about my default icon. *points to icon used in this post*
P.P.S. I only read 115 pages of my 600 page book that needs to be read by tomorrow morning. *is a little bit screwed*
