No, I don't think I have seen them live. (I can't remember if they were one of the bands at one of the festivals I went to last year... I think it was always Ingram Hill, though. And I'm pretty sure I did NOT see them on the Boat last year.)
I know that BTE is one of your faves, though, which is honestly why I'm willing to give them a shot. Like I said, their music is ok, it just hasn't grabbed me thus far. I'm definitely planning on seeing them at least once this summer when they're in town, though. :) (I'm thinking that they're playing Summerfest on one of the days that I was planning on being there for another group, too... I'm not positive about that, though.)
Wideawake I will be seeing in August, for sure. I heard way too many good impressions of them to not give them a shot. I missed their shows on the Boat, too. I really like "Not So Far Away", and I've listened to the recording of their Atrium show a few times, but none of their other songs have stuck with me past listening to the show. I can tell that they'd be different live, though.
You can come to Chicago without other people... you'd have friends here to keep you company. :)
I forgot to say that I was looking forward to seeing Collective Soul here next weekend. Ingram Hill bored me live, though. But I've only seen them once, so it could have been an off night.
Yeah, I could come by myself; I'd just feel less fangirlish if someone else was crazy enough to fly out, too. :)
