Meet the family
I just skipped through all the Batman related issues from the recently rebooted "New 52" DC Comics universe thank you, "Arkham City", for ruining my life and turning me into a Batman fan, thank you! |D... and totally fell in love with the new Batman and Robin comic.
I'm fairly new to this fandom and although I knew there have been quite a few Robins throughout the past few decades of Batman, this was the first time I read a comic about Damian Wayne, Bruce Wayne's canon (!) son - and also the current Robin.
And what can I say... I just love that little brat. ♥
I've always had a soft spot for dysfunctional relationships - and with Damian, nearly every relationship is dysfunctional (especially the one with his father) because the kid is just a total psychopath.
Raised by his mother Talia al Ghul (who never told Bruce he even had a son) also - if you don't know the lady yet, you'll get to know her in Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises, as far as I know and the League of Assassins, Damian's been trained to be a perfect killer since the day he was born. He's become a very cruel, ruthless, sociopathic, egocentric little brat by the time his father finally gets to meet him, and he respects neither Bruce nor any of his adoptive siblings (the former Robins Dick Grayson and Tim Drake, that is).
So, understandably, Bruce has a hard time to accept Damian as his son - and also to teach him his moral code, which includes not killing all enemies at first sight.

I really, really like the complicated relationship between Damian and his father and I'm very looking forward to the next issue. Since there's only one new issue every month and since comics aren't that expensive not even in Germany where nearly everything that's printed is just way to expensive IMO... and don't let me start on DVD prices 8D I think I'll start collecting them.
From the "New 52" that I've read so far I also really liked Batman (which has a very interesting plot and also more Damian in it ♥) and Justice League (which I enjoy a lot thanks to the constant bickering between Batman and Green Lantern xD).
