It's time to upgrade my MacBook Pro to OS X Lion (10.7) and then create a Windows partition so I can play Star Wars: The Old Republic. Not that these two things are related to one another, but I might as well get it all done in one fell swoop.
So I need to:
• Uninstall all of my old Adobe Creative Suite applications and Quicken, since they won't work in Lion, plus any other old PPC applications I missed
• Install latest version of Photoshop
• Repair permissions
• Back up (in addition to my usual Time Capsule backups)
• Install Lion
• Install Boot Camp
• Install Windows 7 (the great sacrifice I am making for the sake of Star Wars, which is the only thing for which I'll be using it)
• Install Star Wars: The Old Republic
All this on top of LJ's latest technical/customer service failure equals rather more change than I'm entirely comfortable dealing with in a single week, but if that's my biggest problem at the moment, I'd say I'm pretty lucky. Really, I've been feeling quite good during the last few days, which is not something I take for granted. Hope things are going well for all of you, too.
