I think I may be beating the cold from hell after two weeks, because my voice is starting to come back. However, I just might be running a fever tonight, so who knows? That, or the furnace has finally decided to send some heat up to the master-bedroom zone and it's not 59°F in here anymore.
I managed to reach 45,000 earlier tonight by writing a battle scene with some epic Starkiller badassery, and then I rewatched all the TFU1 cutscenes. Now I've locked myself in the bedroom with a handful of cough drops and a really large glass of Scotch because after almost two and a half years in-story and 120,000 words (counting last year's 75,000-word Book One and the first 45,000 words of this year's sequel), Galen and Jillian are finally going to get it on.
(I believe I am not alone in finding Sam Witwer's Being Human hair very inspiring for such purposes, not that he doesn't rock the buzz cut, too.)
Anyway, it wasn't supposed to take this long, but there was all this PLOT and CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT getting in the way of the smut. One would think I had no idea what fanfic was for. (Sorry for leaving you a virgin until you were almost twenty-four, Galen, but take comfort that your sacrifice was made in the name of art.)
