Fall TV and my MIA fannishness

Sep 04, 2009 18:37

So fall TV is starting already. As in next week. How the hell did that happen?

Maybe this will be exactly what I need to revive my fannishness. I miss it so. It was cruelly beaten out of me by the one-two punch of the BSG finale and the S8 finale of SV. You guys know what I'm talking about.

The only thing that's really roused my inner fangirl from her twitching fetal position in the darkest corner of my mind all summer has been SW (read that as "Sam Witwer" or "Star Wars" - either is correct). And I guess Eric the Dominant Nordic Vampire from True Blood a bit, but it's not like I've felt the urge to post about that show after every episode or read fic or anything.

Thursday 9/10: The Vampire Diaries (looks awful, but I hope in a cheesy so-bad-it's-good sort of way) and SPN (source of another beloved SW; I can deal with the fandom only if I stick to my non-misogynist flist)

Saturday 9/12: S3 of BBC Robin Hood (only for Sir Guy, as always)

Monday 9/14: Gossip Girl (just call it The Blair and Chuck Show - is there any other reason to watch?)

So-bad-it's-good does seem to be the unifying theme here. Sigh. (It's not like I don't know quality when I see it, but there's only one Mad Men, you know?)

In conclusion, MY TV NEEDS MORE SAM WITWER. Someone really should do something about that.

fandom, tv, sam witwer
