The Sociopathic Murderer/Good Girl OTP
This post was inspired by the lovely liminaliz and our mutual interest in the fictional sociopathic murderer/good girl OTP. Yes, yes, it's awful and we should be ashamed of ourselves - but that only makes it hotter. (And no, we don't go for violent headcases in real life.)
My Sociopathic Murderer/Good Girl Ships (in no particular order):
• Spike/Buffy (BtVS): Come on. You know you want it. One of the all-time greats. RAWR.
• Leoben/Kara (BSG): Mindfuckery, party of two! She kills him over and over and it just makes him more obsessed with her and he still manages to get under her skin, although not in all the ways he might like. THE WAY HE LOOKS AT HER. Sigh.
• Sark/Sydney (Alias): He adored her in his own perverted way. She thought he was cute but she was too hopelessly good to be as tempted as I would have been. That's why we have fanfic.
• Michael/Teyla (SGA): TPTB so should have had to guts to go there, but the show is a Stargate show and therefore sucks by definition. Screw canon - I secretly choose to believe that he's the father of Teyla's baby.
• Guy of Gisborne/Marian (BBC Robin Hood): This relationship, um, ended a bit badly, but I loved it. Guy may be crazypants, but he's a million times more attractive and interesting than that rat-faced excuse for a Robin.
• Joker/Harley (DC): Joker succeeds in breaking Harley's mind and making her into a bad - not to mention batshit - girl, but that's not how she started, so it counts. In comparison, Spike/Buffy is fluffy bunnies and candy and rainbows. This ship is disturbing and violent and intensely dirtybadwrong, and I truly mean that as a compliment.
So, which embarrassingly twisted ships do you go for, flist? Come on, spill it!

Joker/Harley Fic Recs:
I've barely scratched the surface of the fic for this ship, but I've already found some good and/or interesting stories. (I don't have to warn anyone that these stories tend not to be for the fainthearted, right? I mean, we're talking about arguably the scariest of all supervillains and his crazily submissive girlfriend here.)
Arkham Asylum: Tainted Love by princessebee: Thirty-four chapters (complete) depicting the therapy sessions that Joker used to seduce and mindfuck Dr. Harleen Quinzel. A must-read. There are parts of this one I'm never going to get out of my mind.
Trip the Light Fantastic (sequel to Harley Quinn: Soliloquy) by princessebee: The Joker has been gone for three years. Harley, believing he's dead, has been declared sane and starts a new life under a new name. Guess how long that lasts after Mistah J shows up on her doorstep? Twisted and funny.
Satisfaction by princessebee: Short and very much with the dirtybadwrongness.
Simply Makes You Stranger and A Better Class of Criminal by agent0fchaos: Nolanverse version of Harley Quinn's origin story. Knives and blood.
Dog Will Hunt by mozart: Another Nolanverse origin story. This version of Harley Quinn dishes it out as well as takes it, which works in the Nolanverse.
