Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

Okay, I'm done. Somehow I managed to remain completely unspoiled, even though I didn't avoid LJ or the rest of the internets. Yay, me!

Not nearly as fun as the previous books, but I went in expecting that. I guess everything turned out the way it ought to have. I was pleased but not at all surprised that Snape turned out to be unevil and that Harry lived. The epilogue was a bit on the nausea-inducing side, though.

So were there still reality-impaired shippers who expected things to turn out other than they did romancewise, despite the books making it blindingly obvious who was going to end up with whom from early in the series, and despite the author basically coming out and telling them to get a clue? (I'm not in the fandom and I don't give a damn about its ships. I'm just looking for batshittery to entertain me because I'm mean like that.)

Now where can I find me some wank? *heads to f_w*

ETA: Something that didn't please me was Dead Fred. Not cool! The twins were favorites of mine. Surely there were plenty of other, less amusing Weasleys to choose from. Pffft!

ETA2: Some guy whined in his Amazon review about how all the death, torture, darkness, etc. (don't even try bitching that this is spoilery - did you think Book 7 would be all sunshine and roses and adorable puppies?) made the book unsuitable for children, and snarkily suggested that the film adaptation be directed by Quentin Tarantino.

!!!

EXCELLENT IDEA! Really. Just think about it. Maybe then there'd finally be an HP movie that didn't bore me to tears.

books, harry potter
