There's no place like home

So I'm back home now, utterly exhausted and with a lump of German in my brain that I'm still trying to assimilate properly. It was hell about half the time. (Severe sleep deprivation due to underage drunks! No English speaking! No air conditioning! Abominable coffee! Packing a year's worth of language lessons into ten days!) Naturally, I can't wait to go back next summer.

I'm never going to catch up on the flist, so I won't even try.

The Stargates: I missed out on the communal celebration - or vilification, for all I know - of the Stargate shows' season premieres, which I was finally able to see last night. My verdict: Underwhelming, the both of them, and I don't really care enough to say more.

Doctor Who: I know what happened in the season finale, but I haven't watched it yet and I'm not even remotely excited about watching it. I want Christopher Eccleston back.

What ever happened to TV worth being excited about?

german, doctor who, atlantis, sg-1
