Actually in all honesty, I should be working on homework. I will right after this. I'm so ready for this semester to be over. Things just keep piling up. I've got one more speech to write for tomorrow and a little editing for the one I already wrote. I need to start putting my research paper for english class together. I've got all the information, it's just a matter of bringing it all together. I have four more papers to write for music class, two of which I have the ability to write right now. I have two papers for my humanities class: one analyzing either local architecture or artwork and another analyzing a play (unfortunately the play I went to with Ryan's family doesn't count). Gah! Plus, tomorrow I have to call the Y about that kick-boxing instructor position, and I need to set up a time to talk to Barb G. (my old chem/physics teacher).
I was really excited at work today because someone was trying to get rid of their tickets to AIDA at the civic center. It would be perfect for me to be able to get my humanities paper done. However, Ryan's dad's birthday party is on Friday and he wouldn't be able to go with me. I'm debating about what I want to do. I think I'm going to talk to the teacher one more time about the play I already went to and if she still says no, I may just take someone else to go to it with me. Saturday is State for the Cross Country team and the Football team goes into their second game of regionals(?). I really kind of want to go to the Cross Country meet, but Ryan will have to mow. I'm debating on going without him though. We'll see. I need to find out when we would be back.
I must be getting better at swimming because I get done with my work-out in 45-50 minutes whereas it use to take me a lil over an hour. I'm going to have to start looking for some more stuff to add on to it or something. It makes me happy though to know I'm improving. I'm going to have to buy a new swimsuit eventually though. I've never worn through a suit before - but I see what Erin was talking about with needing to where several layers of suits.
So I've applied to UofI and ISU. Where do I want to go most? Well, it depends. I'm still debating on education on vet med. But...Mom talked to Barb G. the other day. Apparently she says everyone who goes into secondary education wants to teach biology, so I should go into physics. I was pretty good at physics in high school so I would probably be okay at it. Plus, I would have an advantage not being a super genius - because I'll have an easier time explaining it so that it makes sense to a bunch of high schoolers. She says the starting salary for high school physics teachers is $50 grand. Not bad - I was kind of surprised. I talk to my advisor on either Monday or Tuesday next week so we'll see.
Well I really need to get back to homework. Blech! G'nite all.
