For the last year or so, I've been wanting a Playstation 2. It hasn't been one of those must-own things, but more along the lines of "that'd sure be nice to have when I get the extra cash". Last week, I made the decision to go ahead and buy one, seeings how they're down to $150 now.
So, with the decision made, I hopped my way on over to this little-known auction site and
picked up a
few games. The next day, hit up the ol' Wal*Mart with cash in hand and PS2 visions in my head, headed back to electronics, and... nothing. Completely sold out. Of course, they had an ample supply of X-Boxes and GameCubes, but who wants a pansy little system like those monstrosities? Tail tucked firmly between my legs, I headed on home.
Repeat the above scenario for the past week, replacing "went to Wal*Mart" with "called Wal*Mart repeatedly, daily". Yesterday, finally had enough of this nonsense and broke out the phone book. Called up every Wal*Mart / EB Games / Software Etc. / Target / Sears within an hours drive from here. Every one of them is sold out, nobody has a clue as to when they'll be getting more in stock.
Figures. I want something for the last year or so and put it off repeatedly, but then when I go to get one, it's sold out across the entire freaking state. Someone, please... hand me a tissue.
