Cornucopia of trails

Nov 07, 2010 00:31

Sunny, 55-60°F. It was one of those days when I had to clean the place in the morning, so I started out late. Fortunately, there was a cluster of geocaches in Delaware County that promised a few good walks. The first four geocaches ("Pitch Black" series and "Butter Days") were on the Cornucopia and Darlington Trails in Middletown. I didn't expect to be able to get that fourth cache on the same hike but it turned out to be further along the trail from "Pitch Black #3".

Then I went to Martin Park for 3 more geocaches near Chester Creek. And finally, to fill time, I hit some office park geocaches: "MPI #11", "MPI #4", and "Woods 1". I'm not sure whether the two "MPI" geocaches have permission to be there as those are rather close to office buildings and nothing in the cache description says anything about permission being granted. Since I went on a Saturday, no one was there to object. "Woods 1" is completely legitimate and is one of five geocaches in that office park wooded area. I only had time for that one this evening, but I'll definitely return for the rest.
