There was a snowstorm forecast for Friday evening and Saturday. The snow didn't start until after dusk here but I stayed home anyway to do a couple of things. First, I worked on photos from the last few days. Then I did a bit more of my tax return, which I started a few days ago. I won't be able to finish it until mid-March because some of the forms typically don't get to me until early March but I'll do as much as I can now. Also worked on
a new TwitVim feature, which was suggested by a user.

When you come home from a long day of whatever it is you do and your brain is totally fried, what therapy do you normally seek?
Answering Friday Five. Well, not really. I'm not in a situation where I would come home totally fried any more and it's great!
Of the myriad of desserts made primarily of fried dough, what is your favorite?
Funnel cake.
Most fried foods are best right out of the fryer, but what's a fried food that you enjoy cold?
Fried banana fritters are okay the next day.
What's the most unusual deep-fried food you've ever tried?
Fried squid, perhaps? I thought fried ice cream was unusual the first time I tried it but maybe it's not so novel.
Where can you get really good French fries?
McDonald's, but I won't go there just for the fries.

When did you last feel you were required to jump through meaningless hoops to get something you wanted?
The immigration process. That took years, lots of forms, and a few trips to the INS office in Newark, NJ.
What kinds of hula hoop memories do you have?
I never was into hula hoops.
How do you feel about basketball?
Not good at it, but it was fun trying to shoot hoops in mascot costume.
What do you think of hoop earrings?
I don't want any.
What's your favorite Whoopi Goldberg movie?
The Lion King.
