Central Jersey

Feb 08, 2009 00:26

Sunny. 28°F in the morning but 50°F in the afternoon and evening. Went to Central Jersey, where there were quite a number of new geocaches that got listed within just the past week. The 3 dinosaur caches were interesting. The "Swampy Forest" wasn't swampy today because it was frozen and covered in snow. I crossed a creek at some point but didn't realize it at the time because the whole area was a flat sheet of ice.

Towards the evening, I went for some easier geocaches, or so I thought. Once again, the Rutgers University campus confounded my navigation. In particular, I had a hard time figuring out where to park for "IS IT FRIDAY YET !!!!!!" I ended up parking in front of the Biology building, which was quiet on a Saturday, and making the 400-foot dash.

Didn't feel like spending much money tonight so dinner was at Burger King in Somerset. I'm still on the first page of the current BK coupon booklet.
