Bargain Hunter Diaries

It was a rainy afternoon but I went for the Little D geocache. It's a good thing I waited a day before going for this geocache because the posted coordinates were significantly off and someone posted improved coordinates. This geocache is near Ringwood Manor State Park but the recommended access is via a borough park on Margaret King Avenue. Of course, I went in the wrong way via Farm Road and discovered that the two areas weren't connected. So I parked next to a municipal maintenance building and took a slightly longer walk. Aside from that, it was pretty straightforward.

While picking up lunch in Ramsey, I glanced across the strip mall and noticed that Marty's Shoes was having a closing down sale and the discount had gotten up to 80%! Never one to pass up a bargain, I went there first thing in the evening. If I'd known they were going out of business, I'd have gone there earlier. By the time the discount goes up to 80%, you know that not much would be left. Indeed, they only had a few rows of shoes left. However, and this came as a surprise to me, they still had the rarest of rarities: size 16 hiking boots! Better yet, these boots have buckles and velcro instead of laces. Excellent! I got their last two pairs.
