Edit: Maine, not Oregon...not yet

I think, I hope, I found a place to live in Portland, starting at the end of March.

Catalina is a lovely lady from Texas who found me online a week ago because we have a shared love of a two-tailed mermaid. We ran into each other pretty quickly once I got into town for the Wingnut Dishwashers Union/Ghost Mice/Over a Cardboard Sea/Rattlesnakes show, & I immediately felt like we'd been friends for a long time. She lives in an apartment near downtown that's full of instruments & art & fun ladies & no television. I'll share a room with her and pay far less than I would in Boston.

Portland is exciting to me right now. A bunch of kids just started renting a place they call The Door Yard, formerly (?ithink?) The Soundpost, as a studio & show space. I've met a lot of good people, and there are so many more I haven't met yet.

The show was wonderful, cuddling with bunny was wonderful, free breakfast randomly bought for us by a stranger at Ruski's was wonderful, the puppet show full of children in a secret theater & the afterparty full of nice older people with wine & the spontaneous trashy-queer dress-up dance party with new friends & the photoshoot with Jack Montgomery & seeing his photos in a gallery & the great (and not great) art in the other galleries & Watson's assemblage art & all the conversations, were all wonderful.
