work, burlesque, etc.
Today was my second day at my new job...sigh...
Yesterday was much worse. During the hiring process I was really excited because I thought my boss was really nice and cool. It turns out than when we are actually working she is the bitch from hell! She didn't cut me ANY slack and it was my first day! arrggg...I actually went over to Jeremy's right afterward and just cried for awhile, which is very unlike me. I guess I'm having a much harder time meshing at this job than at any of my others. Today she wasn't there so although it was slow, it went much better. The uniform is horrible, though (black pants and apron are ok, but it's with a white button down shirt, ugly hat, sensible shoes, and god-awful tie. Blech!). Anyway, hopefully things get much better, and if not, it's just a seasonal position anyway so I'll only be there for a few more weeks.
On a happy note, Derek gave me his Christmas present to me yesterday, which was a book. It just so happens to be a book of vintage photos of burlesque queens in their haydays! Definitely right up my alley. He also gave me a drawing of "the gang" which I'll have to scan soon because it's very cute. And he gave me another white shirt for work, but that was just to be nice.
Anyway, I have to get up early and go to work again so that's all for now.
