(no subject)
So this weekend was supposed to be another working weekend. but around 3pm on Friday, the announcement came down, Until further notice Saturday hours are suspended. We can still come in with management approval but no more in every weekend. Yeah!
So because I didn't need to get up the weekend got a lot more relaxing.
Friday Night on the way home K hadn't left work yet as I was coming up the CA57, ended up talking to sdmdm8 I ended up stopping by and being a glorified, okay not even glorified, I ended up being a second set of hands for him working on his motorcycle. We hung out working on the bike until K got off work then met her for Sushi. The three of us enjoyed dinner then after dropping sdmdm8 off K and I went to see the entire shift of Glendora PD, That is we stopped off at Donut Man. Donut Man for those who don't know is probably the best donut place in the San Gabriel Valley. Krispy Kreme has nothing on Donut man, If you go there on the weekend either in the morning or after the local highschool game lets out, be prepared to wait. All their donuts are supreme but there a couple of things that really stand out.The fruit donuts and the tiger tails. Strawberry donut, think a slightly large filled donut but instead f shooting a couple of tablespoons of fruit curd into the center, they cut it almost in half and spoon on fresh strawberries in glaze, like a cup of the things. The tiger tails are a twist raised donut with a layer of devil's food cake batter in the center of the wrap. So that was Friday night,
Instead of getting up and running to work Saturday morning early, I got to sleep in hang out with K for most of theday, I got to mess around with my motorcycle and do a few things around the house. I made up a carrot cake which we then took to digital_rider and bouchezmoi's place for subway sandwhiches and game night (Yeah I know exciting weekend so far). Zombie Flux is a fun game, bizarre people those game designers. a couple of Games of that and one of Ticket to Ride.
Sunday morning was up and out to see Wolverine first thing in the morning. Then Lunch and then off to watch digital_rider create the magic which is beer. And o course when one makes beer, if one is not being paid to do it one should of course drink beer to go with it.
So a good easy weekend.
