all was right with the world

This weekend was busy, but productive and loads of fun. Josh was a sweetheart and took the car down to Capitol Honda for a much needed service instead of taking it to Berkeley Honda, which is having labor issues. While he does not agree with unions and such he does respect my beliefs and opinions on the issue, which is very nice. After work I headed down the east bay on BART and met up with him. We ran a few errands, like picking up more stuff from the storage unit, including linens for my sisters' beds. Aftermuch pissiness for how long the service was taking we decided to hold on to Max's car and head to meet my parents at Il Fornio in Burlingame where my parents have cultured a very nice relationship with the bartenders. After 2.5 bottles of wine and a very yummy dinner, catherine and I took the dogs for a walk, josh took diana to Rolling Pin and got donuts. Unfortunately this meant we didn't get to see Chuck and Rachel :-(. Saturday we went to San Jose to swap out cars and such, I got some laundry done, picked up some stuff I had left at work and lunch. We finally got to see Serenity, which we really enjoyed even though we haven't finished the series yet. We also got to hang out with
Chuck,
Rachel, and
ashi among lots of others incluidng Bug and Rob. It was nice to get to hang out with Rachel and Chuck.  After the movie we went back to Berkeley and dumped the car, changed into much warmer clothing and grabbed some blankets as last ngiht's football game was, well, at night. And yes, it was fucking cold. Cal tried to blow the game, but it was like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hide with the poor quarterback, which caused some unnecessary excitement, but hell the game was fun, cal won and I lost my voice  per norm. Josh and I  were going to go to Jupiter for food and beer but we were way too tired and opted for sleep.

Today has been very relaxing. I finished up the laundry and had lunch with my parents and sisters who were in Berkeley for some costume supplies. After lunch at gregoire I went back to work on our Halloweed costumes, which are almost done. I need to hand stich the opening on the bottom hem and fit josh's sleeves for his jacket and sew the lining in for my jacket, which I may have to shorten some. After that I just need to pick up buttons and then our costumes are done. I am so happy that there will not be any staying up way too late sewing this year. Plus we have all of the accessories for our costumes floating around the room. Our costumes are going to rock.
