Accidental Post: voice plus images

[ Suddenly, there's an image on your PCD! Not exactly a recording, either; this appears to be broadcast from some sort of mapping program. It might be familiar since it's pretty much the same as this map of the Northwest Quarter. The green bits glow from a central point."All right, so...currently the generator is powering a good...48% to 52% of the ( Read more... )

Yes.

...You do know what they are, right? Can never tell, here.

Grinding?

...Not exactly. Well, the same principle applies but we'd be using it to say, power a building or two instead of milling grain or whatever.

... Right, Electricity.

That makes sense.

So, you intend to try and supply the entire city?

I intend to attempt to give the city the means to try and supply itself. I get the impression that a lot of people have become very used to the way things are here, and in my opinion that's not necessarily for the best.

If we're stuck here we might as well move towards being a functioning society.

Interesting...

Listen, you're not the only ones hoping to make a change around here. If you're open to accepting help?

You're talking to a one armed woman who between herself and two...roommates? Has enough phobias and social issues to rewrite a medical textbook.

Help is necessary. What did you have in mind?

Right. Sounds pretty... difficult, yeah.

What do I have in mind? Well, I'm pretty sure I can rally a group of people to do the legwork.

You don't have to be nice for my benefit Mr...Mustang, was it? I am very aware of how useful or useless things can be.

We're still researching what materials would be best but I think Topher has notes on that. What other projects are underway? I have to admit that I don't see much that seems directed towards the community at large on these things.

At least without some unknown context I am not privy to.

Mustang, that's right. Perhaps I'm just nice?

[There's a sigh, and he takes a deep breath.]

The difficulty with a place like Adstringendum is knowing where you can place your trust. Unfortunately, it would seem you've yet to talk to anyone involved in it.

Your altruism is almost enough to vouch for you. The point I'm making is that we're working on a few things. Food, Safety, Shelter, Water.

To be honest we've yet to talk to most people - it's just the way we are.

Water...the windmills could also be used to facilitate a more usable water system for the area, but that would require more research since I don't know much about the natural - for lack of a better term - waterways here. Food by my understanding was largely organized through orchards open to public use, correct?

Again, I think I can understand why.

That's true. Perhaps... we could arrange a meeting?

Fair enough.

Sure. Name a time and a place and I'll be there.

Right, cause your friends won't like the intrusion?

How viable is that you might be able to attend a meeting?

Something of the sort. But I may bring them with me, depending on how they feel.

Very. We have an open schedule, for the most part.
