Reading Rainbow 24/7

So I got a promotion at work. I was a co counselor, and now I'm a head counselor. This means more money, health and dental benifits, vacation time, more hours, and pay for holidays, includeing Jewish holidays, when the center is closed.

I'm taking a judo class. I call it my bi-weekly "getting my ass kicked" class. It's not that I actually get my ass kicked. I actually do pretty well considering, but I always come out injured. Mainly from people doing something wrong, although my last injury was from me jumping and landing wrong on my foot. Durring the warm ups. I kicked my own ass that day.

I'm also taking a couple of Child Development classes because I am grossly underqualified for the promotion I just got. My classes are full of people who think all television and movies at any hour of any rateing should be child appropriate. Full on PTC crowd. Maybe if your seven year old is watching the Sopranos in his room at one AM with no supervision, HBO isn't the one at fault.
Maybe I'm just being selfish. A parent shouldn't hold any responsibility for the content their child watches on T.V. After all, people are busy and can't be expected to keep an eye on their own kids. I mean, lets not forget Columbine. Two kids speant a year practiceing shooting their fathers gun collection, then made bombs in their garage every day. Clearly the problem wasn't a lack of supervision, but Basketball Diaries.
