...and my first experience acting with an all equity company was a riotously fun success. I love working with good, hard-working people who aren't out to prove they're better than you. and who are, for the most part, pretty derned good, too!
To say nothign of the fact that I actually got to act, two very different characters, in a decent theater, in front of a (small, but real) audience (which included a times reporter). That felt really good. Really, really good. I need doses like this every now and again, if I can't indulge in a full-on production, to keep me going.
Thanks to Ian and James for making the trek out to see me! It's great to feel that support...I really appreciated it. :-)
...in other news, I wrote this post, and then walked away and forgot to post it. I've been sooo absent-minded lately...like the day I (as the production stage manager in charge of running/calling the show) started the show without my script even in the booth...luckily it was accessible, and by that time I had all the cues memorized anyway so it wasn't a big deal...just...stupidly amusing.
