Letter the Second. (futile attempt deux)mortal_sandJanuary 8 2009, 01:27:10 UTC
*again, sent by hospital owl*
I realise now that what I originally sent must have seemed incredibly suspicious. Forgive me, as I didn't think about it. I felt so sure of my convictions, I forgot that nobody else would believe me. So, I will take the risk of telling you who I am, if nothing else, to prove how genuine I truly am. I am Healer Caius Nott. I'm head of the pathology department at St Mungos. If this is not enough evidence for you, you (or you can send someone or something) can probably come and find me in the hospital. It's never suspicious, as I can't refuse to heal anyone. I would
I suppose I am not really looking for answers. I have already asked myself many questions of morality and found myself lacking. I am looking for a way out of this war. A way that I will not have to do things which I find indescribably horrific. I want to find someone I can talk to who is prepared to actually talk, and not judge me by decisions I made without thinking of consequences this dire, without realising it would ever get this far. Dear Sir,
Respecting the urgency and need for utmost privacy, I will refrain from using your name as we write. I will respect even more than that sir, and acknowledge your return letter as valid and sincere.
I am a friend to anyone in need of guidance. I can be your ear. I will not turn anyone away if they ask for my help either, and should you decide that you need help beyond what guidance I offer, then you are privileged to that as well.
How would you like to begin?

P.S. Do be wary, these letters will keep burning when read.

Thank you. Thank you so much.
I don't know where to start. Wait, I do. I'm afraid I'm going to end up killling someone. I'm afraid that this is going step by step further into extremely wrong ground. I don't want to kill someone. I never did. I thought I'd just be healing the injured. Or Or even just mainipulating autopsies. Which definately struck me as wrong, but a sacrifice worth making. And I'm starting to realise that I harm a lot more people already than I realised. I scare myself, because I wonder if one day, I'll actually go along with it when they ask me to kill someone. That's where it gets complicated. I don't want to go any further into this mess than I have. But I can't quit. Quitting means being a traitor. It means they have reason to... you have no idea what they'd do
