Got back from Providence on Friday afternoon. The trip to Brown was fun.

Went to a triple birthday party on Saturday night. Harry and I had a good time with a nice bunch of folks that we've been seing on a fairly regular basis now. We got to see some friends that moved out of town a few years ago but were in for the weekend. They were instrumental in my coming out, and it's always great to see them.

Spent most of the weekend at work, packing up stuff for the Big Move. Some of the labs started moving to the new space last week. We found out the moving order rather suddenly, and even though the move has been planned for some time, we never had a definite start week. Well, it was last week, and my lab and office is scheduled for Monday morning. I had stuff in my office that I needed to take to the new office before the movers got there, and I had some equipment that I wanted to take apart and move at my own pace. Which I did today. I must have packed up a dozen or so boxes of files and such. Hope to hell that they all fit into the new office.

We've kicked up so much dust, everybody is hacking and wheezing.

Happily, my lab folks got a lot done on Friday--they managed to get all our chemicals moved over. I wanted to get the radioactive stuff over there this weekend, but the I couldn't get into the common freezer that we decided to share with another lab. The guy who had the key never dropped it off so I could find it. Hopefully I can move that stuff before the movers arrive. Not quite sure when that will be. The movers apparently exist in a different spacetime than the rest of us, from what I can tell from their behavior last week.

Ah well, there's going to be a few screwed up things tomorrow, that's for sure. It's going to be so much friggin' fun. I just can't wait!
