It's no imposition, honest. I hope you're settling in as well as is possible, in a place like this. Have any luck on the job front so far?

And I have a feeling that you're already noted in the books, if the deities have such things. No need to register.

Only an inkling, with Miss Camelot's help of a good word. Her father might take pity on me with a secretary position.

And what do you do with yourself, Mr. Sylar?

Ah, how nice of her. And I'll be sure to keep an eye out as well.

Here? I run a timepiece repair shop. It helps keep my mind occupied and oriented in the correct direction. I used to teach classes as well, but that was more of a hobby.

Classes? On what manner of subject? I don't suppose you still teach privately, do you? I'd be well willing to pay.

Horology, the study of time. It's a topic especially important here, although it might not seem it at first. Have you heard about the Clock underground?

I'd be happy to teach again, if you're interested. And I've never charged for it- I think of it as a public service, on my less modest days. Really, though, it's something I enjoy a great deal, so it's not entirely altruistic on my part.

Time...

To capture time...

Oh, I've certain conceptions of it myself. Nothing too extravagant, never did fancy myself much the philosopher. I imagine it takes rather the delicate hand to practice the craft, though, doesn't it? You suppose a beginner will manage?

As for the Underground Clock, I've been... told one or two words. Mostly read, really. Can't say I'd elect to not see it, given the - no pun meant, Mr. Sylar - given the time.

You sound like you've got an eye for detail, which is honestly the most important thing. I think you'll manage just fine. Regardless, we'll start fairly simple and build on it.

I'll give you a more detailed rundown when you next come by, then. I could use someone with your expertise, actually, if you ever decide to make the trip down.

Then the next time you come by, I'll be sure to give you a more in-depth explanation. I have to admit, I'm interested to hear your take on the device. It's not entirely mechanical.

[ooc: I was certain I'd replied to this. D: Apologies for lateness! ]
