I've never heard of an office like that. Unfortunately the city isn't very organized. Especially after the destruction of the prison.

Never? How remarkable, Miss. How exactly was the prison run down? Was it the captives?

No. It was the deities. They decided to imprison a large portion of the city, torture them, and then blow up their own creation. I'm not sure if there is a citizen more depraved than the deities themselves.

I couldn't tell you much about the prison before that...other than that it was run by the warden, which was a deity created position but voted upon by the rest of the people who have been trapped within the city.

And do you need the deities' consent to run the prison?

I'm...not sure. I suppose the populace could attempt to take things like that into their own hands. I'd prefer that actually. But I've never thought about working in or around the pirson.

I'm only thinking, well, thinking of young ladies like yourself, actually. Imagine, out in the dark, or even in midday, if there's no supervision. There're always men with scandalous intentions, and one'd hope they'd be put away - for their own sake as well!

I never leave alone to begin with.

That's admirable! I'm glad someone's concerned about others. There are some pretty scary aspects of the city, and several individuals who definitely aren't friendly.

I'd like to think I'm capable enough to defend myself, but there's more than just regular humans...or even vampires that populate the city. You never really know quite what you're getting yourself into. I think there would be more than just me that would feel a bit more secure that way. Dealing with the curses is bad enough.

Oh yes, it all sounds quite exhaustive. I don't know how you've all managed, but I dare think I'll do my best to overcome this with you, Miss...?

Oh, Yuuki! Yuuki Kurosu. It's good to meet you, Riddle-san...? Is there something you prefer? You probably don't use honorifics back home.

No, I can't well say we do, although - Asian magic books... that's Eastern, isn't it? The habit?

It's Japanese in most worlds. Though, I can't say that the place I come from is very similar to some of the other 'Japan's' I've heard of.

Alternative realities? Yes, I've read a tad these days - how peculiar...

In one world I heard Japan was completely suppressed and ruled by a tyrannical empire. Which seemed pretty drastic to me. In others gigantic robotic weapons wage war. In mine when compared to the architecture of other places it seems to be a bit different. Among other things, but it came as a bit of a surprise.

Never met different versions of yourself, I hope? That'd be... quit odd.

I spoke to my shadow once, if that counts.
