A study of contrasts

I didn't really manage to do anything yesterday. Despite starting off with good intentions (and a long list of things to do) I somehow failed to pick up a paintbrush, buy some food, or even leave the house. I'm not sure where those hours went, but they didn't seem to leave much of a lasting impression on the world beyond marking time 'til Friday...

Today has been quite different. I've finished some more painting, walked for almost two hours, visited jilavre and caught up with a bunch of people in Mind Games - including bumping into sols_light, who I haven't seen in ages. I brushed cobwebs off the tactical part of my brain with a game of Warmachine, picked up some groceries on the walk home, and cooked a proper meal for the first time this week.

Inertia's a funny thing. It hangs around faithfully for good or ill, stopping you from starting things while sustaining you once you get enough speed up. Fortunately, I live at the top of many flights of stairs... when I need to get moving in the morning, everything is downhill to begin with :)
