How the hell did my cat Izzy catch a mouse on the *roof*??
Lucky thing I saw it in her mouth as she ran down the stairs so I could quickly throw her outside. Not too long ago, she brought in a mouse while I was on the phone and I didn't notice until she had been chasing the furiously squeaking victim around the living room for several minutes.
Hee...just had to fight with her about wanting to bring her little pet inside. I made her drop the mouse, and it wandered off looking vaguely competent. I suppose it will probably die just as slow and painful a death as it would have at the paws of Izzy. But at least maybe something will kill it quickly for a meal instead of chasing and playing with it until it's dead and then losing interest altogether.
