The Eater of Weekends pt. 2

So, I'm busy freaking out because my workload has hit the MF breaking point, and I got ANOTHER day+ length assignment from my art professor. I didn't exactly need this... Why is my college so good at figuring out just the right 'doable' amount of work at three courses, but as soon as a fourth is added, hello tipping point? This happens every year.

Okay, the next stage of the art project from last week. We have to take the one of the three that the class liked best, and paint it on canvas with acrylics. That starts next week. Our professor said that we can do anything we like to our drawings to make them easier to paint.

'Take Off' [link] was the one my class liked the best, and so I repainted it digitally to get solid colors. I'm sorry, but I'm not color matching to photographs. I'm not a very good renderer of realism on that level of detail.

In other art news, I finally finished a rough of Siberia and Yakutskaya on the request of Fairywine. I say rough, as I was having A LOT of problems finding resources on Sakha garb of 100 CE, 1400 CE, and 1700 CE. I'm still not sure of the historical accuracy. But it's done, for the OC curious. The 1800s garb is based on standard issue Siberian prisoner dress. There are pictures. Not that the Siberias spent all their time during that century in prison. I just wanted to do a picture of that aspect because it was what we call a major Iow point.

art stuff, siberia, obvious complaints
