Special Prayers
hirehorn and I have a close friend who is going through a very tragic time right now. Julie gave birth prematurely to Wesley Roy Lambert on Sunday, October 7, 2007, here in Lake Charles. Julie was only 25 weeks along. Wesley was 2 pounds, 13 1/2 inches and his head was 9 5/8 inches around. For pictures of him, please go to http://www.myspace.com/sobriety16
Our friend, Julie, has been told that the doctors want to keep Wesley in the hospital until his original due date of January 16, 2008. But, things keep coming up that have her rightfully worried and scared. At 6 days old, he was given his 2nd blood transfusion in 2-days time. He also has a small hole in his heart that is causing his blood to flow back into his lungs. The doctors tried one series of medicines but are now trying another. He gets 3 doses, every 12 hours. He is also on a ventilator…and the rate it breathes for him has increased at least twice since his birth. His heart rate and blood pressure are good so far. He also has a blood infection - but they have been given him antibiotics for that.
B spoke with Julie today and she told him that Wesley’s blood pressure dropped. Therefore, they upped his medicine for that. Also, since the medicine for the hole in his heart isn’t working, they are planning on doing surgery on Wednesday.
Please, we are asking for all the prayers and special thoughts and wishes be sent forth for this little baby and his family. I have seen my adopted nephew and hope that my feelings of fight in him are true and want to enforce that. If you pray, no matter to whom, please pray for Wesley and his family.
