Did you miss me

Where to begin? It’s been months since I‘ve updated so I’ll see if I can break it down.

SCA: Not as much travel as I would like. Pregnancy this time around has been harder physically. 12th Night was so not going to happen this year with the five hour drive each way. The Barony has been beyond awesome, if there is Dramah going on I haven’t heard of it. Suvia and Rustam came to Midwinter’s feast, and we had a lovely food fight with quite a few of the tables. I really wish I hadn’t been pregnant for the event, because it seemed that the only thing I got to do was answer questions about my due date, and I didn’t get any time to geek out with all the awesome artisans that came down.

Pregnancy: Less than two weeks to go. . . Crap! Not ready! Spork still doesn’t have a name, but at least I washed his clothes. The basinet is set up, and I am so done being pregnant. I am attempting a VBAC (Vaginal Birth After C-Section), and after a consult with my surgeon she said due to his size and mine she doesn’t want me to go past my due date of Feb 2nd. Since the drugs they give you to induce labor increase the chance of complications they don’t want to go down that road. I’m Ok with that I’ve met very few women that have been induced that didn’t end up needing an emergency C-Section. I really don’t want an emergency C-Section since I may not be able to have tadhg92  in the room with me. So long story short (too late!) if I don’t go into labor before the 28th we’ll schedule a C-Section, and my husband can see the sequel of his private National Geographic Special.

Creativity: Stop and go. I got to work on Suvia’s step up garb, and that was great. I put together a sample piece for tadhg92 ’s new Gambeson. I’ll be hand sewing it out of linen canvas, and cotton/bamboo batting. I need to get the mock up done soon so we can work out the bugs before I spend a few hundred hours sewing it.

Love: My husband is my soul mate. I adore him and am grateful for him every day.

Family: Finn is as usual awesome, even when he’s not being good. Lately he has been more aggressive, which I seem to recall is common in toddlers. We’ve been trying time outs, and telling him that it hurts our feelings, but he has a short attention span and we seem to go through the same routine every day.

Work: I could walk out the door today and not feel like I’m leaving them high and dry for my Maternity leave. We’ve spent the last few months outlining my department’s processes, and I think we’ve made it good enough that I won’t come back to a terrifying mess.
