Because it's fun..

..Unless maybe, you were born on the 31st!
Take your birthdate and write that number of facts/likes/thoughts about yourself etc.

I was born on the fifth. I'm disappointed I don't have to write more points so I expanded on the few I have :-)

1. The day after my birthday is a national holiday in New Zealand where I have a residence visa - my mum, her fiance and I decided to move there and set up business with a friend of the fiance but it hasn't happened yet *sob*

2. My favourite bands/groups/singers are all American and don't 'do' England, so I spend all my hard earned cash on musical instruments and cds - I play the appalachian dulcimer, flute, three occarina's, the violin, the guitar (badly - I keep breaking strings/knocking things off shelves when I practice). the bodhran and the fife!

3. My favourite country is Greece, more specifically the island of Mykonos where my favourite film - Shirley Valentine, was filmed (I have a picture of me sitting by the sea, drinking Greek wine at sunset, just like in the film. This was my ambition from the first time I saw the film). I've visited Mykonos and Zakinthos most memorably (what can I say, waiters are cute!) and am touring three islands this year :-)

4. I weigh-up everything that happens to me on two hands because I find it unbelievably difficult to confide in anyone from bad past experiences. I am slowly overcoming this by writing online (much of it just to my best friend Mike, but it's a start!) I often blame this on the fact that my dad has my address, home and mobile numbers, knows where I work and I have friends in his street and yet he didn't mention my A-levels, 16th or 18th birthdays or my offer from uni in any way shape or form.

5. My real name is Amy Jane (Cockerill - note, the animal is spelt 'erel', the inventor- 'eril' and the author- 'erell'), which I love but people in the north east of England pronounce it horribly - ever heard Jimmy Nail or Robson Green in a bad mood? Like that. So I've been AJ/Ajay for 15years. My dad's initials are J A, I was named Jane after an old boyfriend of my mother's - the one she's now planning to marry :-) and my father wanted to call me Dawn.. (spot the flaw)
