For those of you who like to read, maybe even write.. I'm looking for a piece of advice from any of you.
My situation isn't really a stressing one... just one I'm not quite sure about.
Basically as some of you know I've been working on getting a story written for years... many many years and I have yet to start it. However not long ago I got some help from some friends and someone who I met a couple of months ago on just how to get started.
The frightening part is their advice was so good I could really just as easily start writing it as early as my next weekend, which is Tuesday's and Wednesday's. I will also be aiming to go to college this fall.... for the first time. Yeah... I'll be 29 soon, and just barely going to college... how sad is that?
Anyway I'll be taking classes to get myself back on the ball with school, and then doing what I can to become an English major.. and well I haven't quite thought about any other majors just yet. But if you had the chance... would you wait to start the book after getting into school and maybe learning things that could help? Or, would you start right away on the book?
The fact remains I'll be writing at least 3-4 rough drafts before I'm sure I'll be satisfied with my work... that much is clear. But feeling this topsy-turvy about getting started on the book is making me wonder if I should work on it now or not.
Tell me what you think, any input is appreciated.
