About Obama's recent speech
Granted, I've never really decided what I would be considered involving politics... I suppose agnostic... but in this case.. Obama has yet to show me any reason to have that, "Omg it's another Bush" feel.
His speech, did give me some hope.
Not much, but some.
Granted.. Obama, Congress, etc.. aren't my only concerns.
The president was certainly right about one thing... it's up to us. I do believe that.
I do believe that as a whole, the United States really does have to depend on it's people to survive.
However, I've found that I have never had much of any faith for humanity. I've always had my doubts. But recently, I've heard a lot of people (the young included) actually speak up, defend themselves and others, and have some tiny bit of humanity spreading from within them.
I pray for the sake of our country, our family and friends, that this light I keep seeing off on the horizon isn't some mirage just playing with our hopes and dreams. And yes, I also believe getting out of this recession is going to take a long time, probably more then most of us can handle.
But I do believe in miracles, and I do believe that we will all come out of this ok.
May time be on our side.
