i was hoping i could post fic, but it's been hard to sit down and finish anything lately >< so just dumping the squee and moving on.
several things made me glee this weekend:
1. the latest reborn chapter (199). won't be spoilery as usual, will just privately fangirl over yama and his warranted squalo-adoration. and say for the record that squalo hasn't changed much in 10 years. neither has lussuria. then again, who would want lussuria to change XD XD

2. this chapter got me wanting to listen to haneuma to same, the drama about dino and squalo's past. i've had this file for a while but last night was pretty much the first time i listened to it. i'd really really like to come across a translation of this? just so i can check if i understood it right ^^

[quick summary: dino is saying he loves his family but he hates conflict and blood and pain and everything that has to do with the mafia. so he ain't doing that shit. squalo proceeds to verbally bitchslap him and says WAKE UP KID. THIS IS THE REAL WORLD. DON'T THINK YOU HAVE A CHOICE. WELL IMMA BE THE MOST BADASS MOTHAFUCKA EVAH. IMMA GRAB LIFE BY THE NECK AND RAEP IT WITH THIS SWORD.
then dino says something like "Someday, someone's gonna be stronger than you. When that happens, you might die." Squalo goes "Me? Be defeated? Bitch, please. You bore me." puts away his katana and leaves.
i love how squalo calls him "softhearted señorito" (amai na obocchan) and yet dino doesn't get offended. dino, you hippie ♥♥ WHEN ARE YOU COMING BACK INTO THE STORYLINE PLZ.]
there's also a part there where young!dino and romario are talking about the vongola and the cavallone. i'd love this translated, too, because i'm too scattered to try and pick apart romario ^^
3. gokudera's mom in the anime, omg. this bit? was not in the manga and it BREAKS MY HEART. i am getting this raw as soon as it comes out~
4. kurot posted some new official pics. i am fangirling over hibari's threads (and hibird's matching outfit), this is new. and those POSTERS. i think i want the ryohei one the most... although the yama one looks good too. lovely contrast between tortured accomplished hitman and sunshiny teenager.
gokudera... how do you get your legs to go like that.
5. quote of the week:
OMG, shark running gag would be the best thing ever. Forget just this fight, NOW I WANT ALL HIS FIGHTS TO END WITH A SHARK.
